Food Labelling – giving information for consumers

Aaron Scott and Black are delighted to announce the availability of a new specialist training course on food labelling – giving information for consumers.

This new specialist training course on food labelling will provide candidates with a good understanding of current food labelling legislation and is designed to give you a working knowledge of legislative requirements for food composition and labelling which will enable you to confidently assess product specifications, pack copy and artwork for legality.

The course aims to:

  • improve awareness of food labelling law
  • provide guidance on the key aspects of food labelling
  • help prevent mislabelling or mis-description of foods.

The course contains 13 modules covering various aspects of food labelling legislation: you may opt OUT of any of the modules if they are not relevant to your food business (just let us know).

Practical assessed task: design your own label

Assessment: Each module ends in a group Task and an individual Quiz which you need to complete correctly to receive your CPD certificate of attainment. You may retake each module quiz once. The pass mark is 80%

Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) course in Ringwood, March 2019

This is the Ofqual accredited course for those looking for an RQF qualification in training.  It takes place over five days in the classroom, followed by one day of assessments, when you present your microteach session to your peers.  There is homework and planning that takes place outside of the classroom, so we have a break of two weeks between the fifth day of classroom training and the assessment day.  We are taking bookings from businesses with five or more candidates to book in together.  Please email us for more information.

Auditing course for ISO 17015 in Ringwood

We are again running this very engaging course for Internal Auditors on 14 and 15 January 2019.  This course is aimed at those in the Water Industry, and our February ISO 17025 course will focus on auditing in medical laboratories.  Internal Auditing courses for ISO 17025 take place in Ringwood, or you can request the course to run at your premises over two consecutive days.

Level 3 Award in Nutrition for Health RSPH on 29, 30 October and 2nd November 2018 (3 days – a very interesting course linked to government targets, taking in psychology and behaviour of the UK population, in addition to the science)

Level 3 HACCP in Food Manufacturing on 10 and 12 September (2 days)

Level 3 HACCP in Food Manufacturing also on 10th and 17th September (2 days).

Level 3 Auditing and Inspection Skills in Food Manufacturing (1 day with preliminary tasks) Monday 5 November 2018

Level 4 HACCP in Food Manufacturing 10, 17, 25 September and 1 October, exam dates on 5 October or 12 October (candidates each choose)

Level 4 Food Safety Management in Catering (or in Manufacturing) September 3rd, 10, 17, 24 and 1st October, and exam on Friday 5th or Friday 12th October 2018 (candidates each choose)

RSPH Level 4 Award in Nutrition for Sports/Nutrition for Health: 29, 30 October and 2nd November 2018, followed by candidate’s project in area of interest (which is completed with trainer support and guidance) in their own time to be submitted within three months.
