We’re very pleased to announce our successful train-the-trainer as a remote learning programme. This Ofqual- accredited course is ideal for those starting training or who want to brush up on their skills. It teaches you the basics of good communication and training skills, and is designed for those who deliver training at work (and for whom the Level 3 Award in Education and Training is a step too far at this stage). The course ends in a practical session that will be held under conditions that include social distancing. Now is a great time to complete the home-learning part of the course, with great feedback and help from your trainer at every step of the way!
Workbook-based learning for individuals and groups, internal auditing course for medical laboratories, ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 15189 will help you develop effective auditing techniques and understand audit principles. As a distance learning or remote learning programme, you complete a workbook of exercises, case study questions and quizzes in order to learn about auditing in your own workplace, and you communicate with your trainer at every step of the way. These courses are suitable for complete beginners to internal auditing, as well as members of your team who would like to brush up on their skills and knowledge of auditing. You’ll learn how to improve communication, develop professional reporting skills, and implement corrective action at your laboratory.
We are happy to say that mentoring for businesses working towards SALSA certification will be resumed from 18 May as long as your organisation permits visitors on site, and if not, we can continue with remote working. Whether working onsite or remotely, at each session we review the progress you’ve made since last time, give you guidance on new tasks that we set you, and in this way, we advance steadily forward so you can see your progress at a glance. Our aim is to get your business ready for your SALSA audit!
Distance (remote) learning enables you, the candidate, to take an accredited (i.e. RQF Ofqual officially recognised qualification listed on the Register of Regulated Qualifications (RRQ) course at a time that suits you without having to wait for a class to be organised, so you can achieve your qualification as soon as you wish. You sit your examinations in person at our Ringwood centre. These are NOT unregulated e-learning courses!
Aaron Scott and Black holds the licence to deliver blended and distance learning arrangements for tuition, and all our course materials and modes of delivery are regulated and audited by the Awarding Bodies, regulated by Ofqual.
Your resource pack: you, the candidate, will receive all the resources you need to complete your course, including your course text book, your tasks and project workbook, online resources and links to articles, exemplar answers to compare with your work, and powerpoint slides (for some level 3 and 4 courses). Some of the questions are pre-set and for Level 3 and Level 4 some questions are individually tailored to the learning needs of each candidate, i.e. the trainer is looking to focus on weak areas and thus ensure a learner-centred approach.
Constant support for your learning: you will be in constant contact with your trainer by email, telephone and (if requested) skype or zoom) to receive personalised ongoing help, advice and support. Students have told us that the level of individual support and feedback they have received has been the outstanding benefit of taking remote courses with Aaron Scott and Black.Your tasks are varied and interesting, with a flexibility at Levels 3 and 4 to be creative in how you respond to some of the tasks
We’re delighted to announce that those candidates who have been waiting to sit their examinations will be able to do so from next week! We have found a suitable venue where social distancing can take place. Thank you for your patience while waiting to sit your exams! For the Level 4 Nutrition courses, there is no final exam (coursework is submitted).
