All food safety, HACCP, auditing and train the trainer courses are now available online, as distance learning courses with complete access and feedback from the trainer.

SALSA Mentoring continues as usual, with both remote and onsite meetings, to fully support the food industry.

This has been prompted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, to help people learn during this difficult time and undertake these courses.

Mentored audits (on-site practical coaching) in internal auditing now available

If you are new to Internal Audit systems, you will be interested in our successful Mentored Audit, which means coaching you in auditing your system. We come to your premises and coach you over one or two days in how to conduct a practical internal audit, including all the planning, preparation, report-writing, raising non-conformance reports and corrective action implementation and closing out. These are the skills you need to conduct a successful system of internal audits, and is suitable for BRC, SALSA, and ISO Standards, where internal audits are a key part of your system.

ISO 22000:2018 and FSSC 22000 v 5 update training

Training courses of one or two days are now available for on-site training for those organisations which need to update some of their systems to the latest requirements of FSSC 22000 version 5. This is an interactive and flexible course which looks in detail at the needs of your business, so we tailor the content to exactly what you need.

Aaron Scott and Black are delighted to announce the availability of a new specialist training course on food labelling – giving information for consumers.

This new specialist training course on food labelling will provide candidates with a good understanding of current food labelling legislation and is designed to give you a working knowledge of legislative requirements for food composition and labelling which will enable you to confidently assess product specifications, pack copy and artwork for legality.

The course aims to:

  • improve awareness of food labelling law
  • provide guidance on the key aspects of food labelling
  • help prevent mislabelling or mis-description of foods.

The course contains 13 modules covering various aspects of food labelling legislation: you may opt OUT of any of the modules if they are not relevant to your food business (just let us know).
