What does this course cover?

Have you noticed that just because someone is an expert in their subject, it doesn’t follow that they’ll be a great teacher? Well, we want to help you become a fantastic trainer! By attending this course, we’ll encourage you to gain confidence to plan and deliver exciting and engaging training programmes.  Practice makes perfect, and you’ll always be improving on how to make your training more inclusive, engaging and effective.

This enjoyable course provides you with the perfect first step to training in the workplace. We aim to help you develop your communication skills and confidence, so that you and your trainees enjoy every session that you deliver and feel that it was worthwhile!

All within the relaxed and informal environment of the small group in the classroom, we’ll be practicing your delivery skills, communication methods, questioning techniques and time management.

What qualification do I gain?

You’ll hold a recognised Ofqual Regulated Qualification (RQF) which means that you are guaranteed that your qualification will carry meaning and recognition because it’s recognised by a government department, Ofqual (Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), which regulates qualifications, examinations and assessments in England. You’ll be able to carry out both in-house training to your team or external training for your customers, using both pre-prepared training materials or your own materials.

What subject will I be qualified to deliver training in?

You’ll be qualified to deliver training in your particular subject, no matter what it is, because it’s a qualification in training skills which applies to any type of business, for example nursing, construction, medical laboratories, food manufacturing, warehousing, agricultural machine use, animal handling and health-care settings – there is no end to this list!

Is this course right for me?

This course is ideal if you’ve never delivered training before, or if you feel you’d like to brush up on your skills. You may be a manager, proprietor, learning and development manager, head of department or team leader.

Your progression route is the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) qualification, which we also offer.

Duration 3 days (can be staggered) The total qualification time (TQT) for this qualification is 15 hours and the course can be delivered as a remote home learning programme apart from the final practical.

Learning from home? Yes, we have developed a comprehensive workbook so that you can study this course from home and come together for the final practical session. This is ideal for individuals who want to start learning straight away.
